Lenten Mission 2023

Welcome to Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Parish in Elk Grove Village, where we invite you to join us for this year’s Parish Lenten Mission titled “Body of Christ, Broken for the World: The Eucharistic Revival and You.” The mission is scheduled from Monday, March 20th to Wednesday, March 22nd, and will begin nightly at 7:00pm and take place at our St. Julian Eymard Worship site located at 601 Biesterfield Road, Elk Grove Village, IL (across from the hospital.) The Mission will be a unique opportunity to deepen your faith and relationship with Christ.

Monday – Personal Encounters: Fr. Dan Folwaczny welcomes  you to a unique experience of meditation, and up close and personal stories of faith.  Your hearts  will be awakened  to Jesus, present in the Eucharist,  during this deeply prayerful and powerful evening. Hearing the stories of others will help us to better understand and relate to our own spiritual journeys.

Tuesday – Reinvigorating Faith: Free yourself from the burdens that hold you back from an intimate relationship with Jesus. Bring your hearts to the Sacrament of Reconciliation where we express our love of God and hope in God in the graces of the Sacrament and through adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.

Wednesday – Deepening Formation and Missionary Sending: We will close our Mission with a Teaching Mass followed by fellowship. As Fr. Dan celebrates Mass, you will be given insight into the symbolism and significance of each part of the liturgy. Following Mass please gather for fellowship in Shea Hall, where we can continue to build our community and discuss the impact of the mission.

We hope you will join us for “Body of Christ, Broken for the World: The Eucharistic Revival and You” at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Parish in Elk Grove Village. Let us come together to grow in faith and to be sent forth to spread the love of Christ to the world.
